Description
Laxil Syrup is a synthetic sugar solution that is taken by mouth. This is recommended for treating chronic constipation and certain brain conditions that are caused by liver failure that leads to confusion problems, tremors, change in behavior, annoyingness, ataxia, sleeping problem and loss of consciousness.
Patients who are on a special diet low in galactose are restricted to take this medicine. If any patients have other medical conditions especially diabetes and colonoscopy, they should consult their doctor before consuming this medicine.
There general dose for this medication is once a day for treating constipation and three times or four times a day for liver disease.
Side effects during medication are:
- bloating
- gas
- stomach pain
- diarrhea
- vomiting and nausea
